Oliver Hallqvist, aka Diplomatic,  is a musician/artist based in Sweden.

His father was a Swedish diplomat and he grew up living in Tokyo, New York, Helsinki and Stockholm.

In his early twenties he moved to Malmö, Sweden, where he lives today.

He started out as a rock guitarist in his youth, in his late teens he began rapping and singing.

In the 90´s he was part of the Hip Hop/Funk scene in southern Sweden. 

Members of his group Poetized went on to form Timbuktu & Damn! one of Sweden´s most successful live acts.

In the 2000´s he branched out on his own as Diplomatic.

Today he makes “Jamzines", lyric comic fanzines that he writes and illustrates with every song he releases.
